Asia Equipment Update

We have been informed by our shipping partners of emerging equipment shortages. This issue is primarily due to the extended transit times for vessels navigating around Africa as a result of the situation in the Middle East.

The longer return journeys to Asia are expected to impact the availability of equipment for export cargo from Asia to Europe. We understand that several carriers are considering increasing their lease container holdings to address this issue. However, this scenario may also lead to an increase in spot rates due to the anticipated equipment scarcities.
